This listing is for a vintage Japanese kimono and obi combination.
The kimono features a faux shibori (printed but with pucker) patterm of wavy water in a soft golden brown color. Scattered about are little shibori-style circles. The collar has been folded over and stitched to make it easier to wear. Lined, easy-care synthetic, excellent condition. Length=58in Wrist-to-wrist=52in Waist/hips=47in
The obi is nagoya style, with the wider (14in) bow area at one end and the rest of the obi being folded over to make it easier to wrap around the waist. Nagoya obi are typically sewn closed for the belt portion but this obi is open on the backside where the white cotton lining fabric is exposed. Of course the white lining would be folded into the belt portion and it does make the obi lighter without that additional fabric.
The obi is a strong pumpkin color with a beautiful floral woven in an abstract way that resembles a mosaic. Additional single flowers trail down the "bow" section, and smaller versions of the same florals appear on the belt portion so they would show in the front when worn.
